  • My intention with starting this small business is to give those who want to learn more, an opportunity to learn in a one-on-one space instead of a busy group. I want to be able to put my focus on each child, because I believe it’s very important for kids to feel heard/seen. I know personally how healing it can be to be around horses for even a minute! That’s why I want to create a space where it’s more affordable, and comfortable.

  • Yes! I am extremely open to hearing you and your child’s needs/wants! I know that some kids want different things than others, and that’s why I want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to do what they want!

  • I’ve been riding since I was 7, and like every rider, I’ve picked things up along the way. With my passion for horses, I love to learn, and truthfully, I never want to stop! I’ve shadowed different trainers in my life, and It’s definitely really cool to see how everyone has their own ways. I’m actively studying to get my certificate, to become a professional trainer, but while I wait for that I wanted to start this business to show that you don’t need a fancy certificate to get started on your dreams!

  • In every lesson, we’ll start with safety. Helmets are mandatory, and we’ll make sure you're attire is correct. Each individual will get a personalized approach. We’ll walk through tacking up together, and I'll guide you through the basics: walk, trot, plus foundational seat and posture work. I'm not a certified trainer, so I don't offer advanced or competitive training until later this year when I get my certification, but I keep it safe, fun, and focused on solid basics. If you are interested in more advanced riding, then I'm more than happy to teach you, but that's strictly up to your parents. If they give me the green light, then we'll give it a go!

  • What's Groundwork?

    Groundwork is a very important step of horseback riding that involves multiple techniques. This includes leading exercises, lunging, long-reining, liberty training, desensitization, yielding the hindquarters or shoulders, backing up, and standing quietly. It is not limited to young or problem horses; all horses benefit from regular groundwork as it strengthens the bond between horse and handler and improves safety and communication!

    What's Horsemanship?

    Horsemanship is the art of riding, handling, and training horses, requiring the rider to effectively control the animal's direction, gait, and speed with minimal effort. The basic principle involves achieving results through a combination of balance, seat, hands, and legs. Good horsemanship requires riders to conform to the horse's movements, maintain a secure seat, and use aids to communicate intentions through recognized movements, repetition, and specialized equipment.
